  • Prepare a grab bag of essential items in case you need to leave your property in a hurry, don't forget to make arrangements for pets
  • Prepare an emergency plan and discuss it with your family - make sure everyone knows what to do
  • Keep a supply of food and bottled water in the house in case you are unable to get to the shops during a flood
