Prepared Pets

CSW_16_EdUncategorized

Today is the big day… today CSW Resilience launch our Prepared Pets awareness campaign, as many of you may be aware April 2017 is National Pet Month and although local authorities are governed by the Civil Contingencies Act (2004) our team has chosen to extend the duties and responsibilities outlined in the Act to encompass animal companions. We acknowledge that it is important to protect all of the family during an emergency and that includes our beloved pets, this is why CSW Resilience have created the Prepared Pets Project to support the pet owner community and animal welfare services across Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire. The project has led to the development and production of a Pet Alert sticker which is now available free of charge from CSW Resilience, during an emergency having a pet sticker visible in a window will notify emergency responders that there are pets in your property. However, CSW Resilience have not stopped at this, we have partnered with the charities PDSA, Blue Cross and the animal supply and care store Just for Pets, to bring the Prepared Pet project to you in the local community.
